Ola Electric has pushed back the date of delivery for the initial batch of electric scooters. The delivery of the scooter will begin in the second quarter of December.
Ola has informed customers about the delay by sending out mails.
The delay is caused by an issue with the chip in the world, as well as the most earliest shipping time for the scooters is between the 15th of December and the 31st of December. Deliveries were initially scheduled to begin in the October-November timeframe.
The company is also continuing to increase the number of test rides it offers and is planning to reach 1,000 cities by the 15th of December.
The power comes from an electric motor that produces an output of 8.5kW and 58Nm. The S1 boasts a maximum speed of 90kph, whereas the S1 Pro can top out at the speed of 115 kph. Both scooters come with fixed batteries and the S1 having an 2.98kWh unit , and the S1 Pro getting a 3.97kWh battery, which gives the claimed range of 121km or 181km respectively.
