Afraid of people who are seers from Ujjain within Madhya Pradesh, the IRCTC on Monday evening announced it would change the attire of waiters in saffron on the Ramayan Express, which had provoked the anger of a group of sadhus.

The seers at the time of their arrest took a strong stand against the attire of waiters wearing saffron who worked on the IRCTC-operated Ramayan Express and dubbed it as an "insult" to Hindu religion.They threatened to block the train at Delhi on the 12th of December if the dress code is not changed.



"We have sent an email two days ago in the direction of Minister of Railways, the Union Railway Minister lodging our protest against waiters serving food and refreshments in the Ramayan Express.

"Donning Saffron-colored attire, with a sadhu-like headgear, and wearing'malas' (necklaces) of 'rudraksha' (sacred seeds) is an attack on Hindu religious beliefs and seers." Ujjain Akhada Parishad's former general secretary Avdeshpuri said to PTI.

Seers are expected to hinder the train's journey in the Delhi's Safdarjung railroad station, if dress code for waiters were not altered, adding that it was essential to protect the Hindu faith.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) via a retweet of an outlet that ran this report from the agency, stated, "It is to inform that the attire of the service personnel has been completely different in the appearance of the professional attire worn by service personnel."

In response to the protests of the seers of Ujjain the state of Madhya Pradesh, the IRCTC Monday night said it would alter the saffron-colored attire worn by waiters on the Ramayan Express, which had provoked the anger of a group of sadhus.

The seers prior to the incident had expressed strong disapproval to the saffron-colored attire worn by waiters aboard the operated by IRCTC Ramayan Express and dubbed it as an "insult" to Hindu religion.
They threatened to shut down the train from Delhi on the 12th of December in the event that the dress code was not changed.

"We have sent an email two days ago addressed to Minister of Railways, the Union Railway Minister lodging our protest against the saffron waiters who are serving food and refreshments in the Ramayan Express.

The dress code for the new season has been changed to a formal shirt pant, beard and a turban.

The the first Ramayan circuit train left for a 17-day trip from at the Safdarjung train station the 7th of November and will stop at 15 sites connected to Lord Ram's life. Lord Ram.

With a total distance of more than 7,500 kilometers, the train will transport pilgrims to locations such as Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Nandigram, Janakpur, Chitrakoot, Sitamarhi, Nashik, Hampi and Rameshwaram.

The Ramayan Express is equipped with top-of-the-line restaurant, a library, with shower cubicles.
